Hard Landscaping
It is so important to carefully plan the hard landscaping aspect of your garden project right from the start as it will affect the way your space functions and set the stage for the soft landscaping later on. A clear idea of what you want to use your garden or outdoor space for, will help us design a space to meet your aspirations.
Things like drainage, lighting and cooking all need to be considered at this early stage as well as whether you need level areas for seating, dining, or play areas for children.
If your garden or space is sloping or very uneven, things like walls and steps may need to be considered. Decking is a good way of coping with less dramatically uneven ground and has a softer feel than paving.
If you are fortunate enough to have a large garden, you might want to include a shed for storage, a work studio that takes advantage of the tranquil surroundings or a summerhouse to relax in. Even if you only have a small courtyard, thoughtful use of hard landscaping materials can enhance any space.

Soft Landscaping
Soft landscaping, by definition, is the element of garden design that doesn't involve construction. It can be looked on as dressing the garden with nature's magnificent array of plants and flowers or putting flesh on the bones of the hard landscaping.
It is no less important than the hard landscaping and is the final step in the overall garden plan. Size, colour shape and aroma all play a part in giving your garden its final character. Flowering plants can last for just one season or go on to bloom for many years and provide changing colour throughout the year.
Not all plants flower, and foliage plants can be just as spectacular for their variegated leaves, giving a space colour all year long. Vegetables and fruit can be used for their looks as well as their fresh delicious taste.
Larger plants are useful as semi structural elements and can give impact where it's needed. Whether you want a low maintenance garden or are a keen gardener, there will be something to suit you.
Allotments & Garden Clearance
Growing fruit and vegetables, quite apart from being pleasurable and fulfilling in itself, is so rewarding when you can pull something fresh from the ground and enjoy the homegrown taste. But getting from garden to plate starts with well prepared ground.
An area intended to be a vegetable plot or a newly acquired allotment that is overgrown can seem like a daunting task to clear. Let us do the hard work for you by clearing the weeds and rotavating. We can prepare your plot ready for planting.
Alternatively, you may just want to get your garden cleared so that you can see the potential of your space or get it to a more manageable state.

Lawncare & Garden maintenance
There's nothing quite like a well kept lawn. If cared for properly, a lush, luxurious lawn is the last word in being well manicured. But that can involve a lot of time and effort.
A lawn may need to be cut twice a week if conditions are right. In other times once a week will be plenty. Getting the balance right depends on growing conditions. Let us take the worry and effort from you so that you can just enjoy it.
Lawns can improve greatly, just from regular mowing but can also benefit from treatments to improve them.
If starting from scratch, good base and a good turf will instantly transform the appeal of a garden.
Garden Design
If you have your own ideas for landscaping your garden, so much the better but we are happy to talk about what you want from your space and create a plan that will meet your aspirations and be fit for purpose.
You can either give us the dimensions and some pictures of the area you want developed or arrange for us to safely come and measure up.
We are aware of the difficulties and anxieties that some clients may have in terms of social distancing and will take every precaution practically possible, both when measuring and installing to observe the restrictions.
